Alcacer: I am happy to help Barcelona from the bench
Coming off the bench to grab the winning goal in Barcelona’s 4-1 beating of Granada was more than enough to satisfy Paco Alcacer.
The ex-Valencia man has been used sparingly since moving to the Camp Nou last summer, although that hasn’t stopped him from putting together a decent run of form when required.
“I’m happy to help the team in any way I can, the coach asked me to come off the bench and that’s what I did,” the striker said after the game.
“Any player in this squad must be prepared to go out and perform.
“Although the pitch was difficult, we played a very professional game and we are looking forward to continuing our form and winning more games.”
Also attending to Rafinha’s injury that saw him get his chance at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes, Alcacer was optimistic that the midfielder can return to playing action sooner rather than later.
“Hopefully it won’t be much,” he noted.
