Celta-Real Madrid game to be played between May 16-19
Javier Tebas confirmed the date speaking to BeIN Sports USA, the president of LaLiga also stated that only the last match-day will have a unified kick-off.
The rescheduled week 21 LaLiga match between Celta-Real Madrid which was postponed due to safety measures following high winds will now be played on a date between May 16 and 19.
The news was confirmed by Javier Tebas (president of LaLiga) speaking to BeIN Sports USA’s Miguel Serrano. Tebeas admitted that the outstanding game at Balaidos was a logistical headache for the scheduling of the penultimate round of games that this year will not have a unified kick-off time.
When questioned if other clubs had complained, Tebas admitted that: “Until we have a year with 400 days and no Club World Cup competitions, then there are no more dates available”. Tebas also blamed the scheduling of international games for overloading the fixture list.
