Jose Mourinho is preparing a double swoop on Monaco for Djibril Sidibe and Benjamin Mendy.

The Manchester United boss wants the French full-backs as part of his summer overhaul at Old Trafford.

United have sent scouts to regularly watch Sidibe and Mendy this season, with the pair also impressing in the Champions League victory over Manchester City.

The pair could cost £33million to land from Monaco, who did business with United over Anthony Martial last season.

Mourinho is looking for competition Antonio Valencia at right-back, while left-back is also an area he could look to strengthen.

Luke Shaw has struggled to establish himself as first-choice, with Daley Blind often used by the Special One.

Both Sidibe and Mendy can also play wing-back to give Mourinho the option of switching systems to use three centre-halves.

Monaco’s forwards such as Kylian Mbappe been in the limelight this season but their full-back pair have also impressed scouts monitoring the French league.

Sidibe, 24, earned his first France cap earlier in the campaign after being on standby the for European Championships.

Mendy’s progress has been tracked by Tottenham and the 22-year-old made his international debut this month.
