This is why Raiola didn’t let Pogba join Barca or Madrid

Mino Raiola, Paul Pogba’s agent, had a very successful summer and earned a fortune thanks to transfers of Zlatan ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba. Now he has revealed why he didn’t let the Frenchman join one of the Spanish giant clubs.

The agent earned only with Pogba’s transfer €27 million(!!!) this summer but he also organized some more moves and had therefore a very successful summer.

He revealed in an interview with ‘Financial Times’ details about the world-record transfer. According to him, the 23-year-old could have joined all the big clubs but opted for Mourinho.

Did you ever ask why he didn’t join La Liga giants Barcelona or Real Madrid? Well, Raiola gave the answer. It seems like he wanted to guarantee his client as much protagonism as possible.

“Real Madrid had just won the Champions League. He would have been just another trophy. And Barcelona had already their three trophies: Messi, Neymar and Suarez,” he explained.

He revealed he had been working for two years on Pogba’s return deal and says this was his “masterpiece”.

Paul Pogba left United in 2012 for Juventus but re-joined them this summer for €105 million.
